Pet Pause is a Pomodoro timer that shows a cute animal during your break. We designed it to be private by default.
What we collect
Nothing.
Pet Pause does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. It has no analytics, no advertising SDKs, no user accounts, no tracking, and no third-party data partners.
What stays on your device
The following information is stored locally on your iPhone (in iOS-managed app storage) and never leaves the device:
- Your focus and break duration preferences
- Your chosen pet companion
- Your app theme and language preferences
- The current state of any in-progress timer (so we can resume after a force-quit)
Uninstalling Pet Pause permanently deletes all of this data.
System permissions we ask for
- Notifications. We schedule a single local notification at the end of each focus or break session, so you know when to switch phases. These are local — they never touch our servers (we don't have any).
- Live Activities. We display the timer on your lock screen and Dynamic Island while a session is running. This uses Apple's ActivityKit framework on your device only.
You can disable either at any time in iOS Settings → Pet Pause.
Children
Pet Pause is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If we ever change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and post the previous version below for transparency.
